The current debate around the new Texas abortion policy affects more than the policy and rights of women. After tweeing his support to the law, John Gibson, president of Tripwire Interactive, a wave of reaction would certainly follow. It seemed conscious how much its position would be controversial; It is partly for this reason that he spoke.
Proud of #ussupremecourt affirming Texas's law prohibiting abortion for babies with heartbeat. As an artist, I do not often do politics. Yet, with so many vocal peers on the other side of this question, I thought it was important to speak as a pro-life game developer.

The answers have been quick and decisive. Cliff Bleszinski, another eminent figure of the game development space, simply declared: You can unsubscribe now. But the repercussions did not limit themselves to comments on Twitter: Shipwright Studios, a long-standing tripwire partner, now refuses to work with the company after these statements. They cancel all existing contracts that they had with tripwire and will certainly no longer accept.
Tripwire Interactive has a strong winter winners: from Killing Floor to Rising Storm in Maneater, but nothing has reached the same levels as Pokemon or Call of Duty. Since they do not have as many followers as the other studios, a group like shipwright certainly seems that it would have been a major bargain for future versions. Although Shipwright is not a developer in itself, according to their website, they specialize in the exit of games - determination of delivery dates, risk assessment, etc. Given the importance of exit dates, there is no doubt that tripwire has undergone a major loss here.
