Interactive tripwire continues to lose support following comments on abortion

The developers who helped with some of the recent games of TripWire Interactive have distances the company after John Gibson voted in favor of prohibiting abortion in Texas. As noted earlier, Shipwright Studios broke all future contracts.

As a reminder, Shipwright helped with Maneater and Hit Chivalry 2. It's not a huge studio, so their positioning means that they really do not want to have the consequences of being associated with John Gibson. This is not a good sign that even the smallest studios distance themselves.

SHIPWRIGHT STUDIOS had this to say about it:

While your policy belongs to you, when you make a topic of public speeches, you entangle all those who work for you and with you

They then confirmed that they would begin the cancellation of existing [with tripwire] contracts in effect immediately. »

Now, TripWire Interactive has lost more support. Torn Banner Studios, Chivalry 2's leading developer, recently released a statement:

We do not share the opinion expressed in a recent Tweet of the President of TripWire, publisher of Chivalry 2. This perspective is not shared by our team, or reflected in the games we create. The declaration opposes what we believe in the rights of women.

TORN BANNER STUDIOS did not promise to stop working with TripWire Interactive, but it is clear that they are not happy to be trained in there. They are in a difficult position with Chivalry 2 that has just come out. They can not just cut the contact because they must hold Chivalry 2 up to date.
