In the sinister darkness of Warhammer's 41st millennium 40,000, there is only war - but few video games of the franchise really made him justice. For each Space Marine or Mechanicus, there is a Space Wolf or a Space Hulk: Deathwing. However, the most disappointing version of the License Games Workshop License Litanie was probably Eternal Crusade: a game that promised the galaxy, but suffered from technical and gameplay problems as soon as it was launched. Now, after five years of skirmish, the developers of Behavior Interactive have finally decided to close the game.
Eternal Crusade was a multiplayer shooting game in the third person taking place at the 41st millennium, featuring emblematic factions of 40,000, Eldar, Orks and Marine Space (both regular and taste of chaos). After the hard and satisfying combat that we saw in Space Marine Relic Entertainment, the fans demanded a game with a similar gameplay, but where massive armies clashed in the classic and excessive style of 40k. Eternal Crusade seemed to be exactly the game they were looking for - but between the design of the game and the technical problems, he never really took off.
The announcement of the official end of Eternal Crusade was made via Steam in June, and this month, the servers were officially closed. In her last message to the Eternal Crusade community, Behavior Interactive thanked the players and reflected on the development of the game: As previously announced, we have officially stopped the game today. As part of the closure, all personal data related to Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade have been removed. We are proud of all the work that was dedicated to Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade, and the incredible community that has joined the game. Thank you for all, we appreciate all your support over the years.
While EverNal Crusade has been closed, the games that come out these days do not miss that you will get this dark kick that only Warhammer can provide, too long Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate: Daemonhunters at the battles strategic battle sector.
